PLACE ADAPTIVE VEHICLE SIMULATIONS
Place adaptive simulations that either follow lines, arcs, polylines, alignments or complex chains; or are offset to the left/right, including realistic and smooth turning transitions. Simulations can update with the alignment to maintain accuracy.
SEARCH VEHICLES
Browse through the extensive vehicle selection of AutoTURN Pro, now consisting 1300+ guideline-based vehicles and 700+ manufacturer-based vehicles. Search for vehicle name, library name or vehicle type or apply filters to narrow down the list of vehicles.
PROPERTY STYLES
Standardise your simulation display properties across your organisation. Set layer, colour (including the use of Index or RGB colours) or line style settings for object categories, such as the path centerline, envelopes, hatching or annotation. Custom design settings can be imported, exported and shared with all team members to manage consistent styles of the drawings. Your designs can be easier to read, reflective of your company standards, and compliant to CAD-standards.
SMARTPATH TOOLS
Innovative SmartPath tools allow the generation of continuous vehicle paths with three interactive drive modes (Arc Path, Corner Path, Oversteer Corner) that incorporate speed, superelevation, lateral friction, and turn radius algorithms for realistic results.
MODEL 3D VEHICLE SWEPT PATHS
Generate 3D swept path envelopes with vehicle height and ground clearances to analyze designs in a three-dimensional space on a selected terrain.
3-PART 3D VEHICLE REVERSE ARC PATH
Perform 3D reverse maneuvers for vehicles with up to three parts and covert 2D reverse arc and corner path movements into 3D. This is ideal for modeling 3-point turning simulations in confined spaces.
CONVERT 2D SIMULATION INTO 3D
Easily convert a 2D simulation into 3D by selecting a terrain for the vehicle to interact with. This feature lets you to complete a conceptual design in a 2D plan view while allowing for further analysis in a 3D mode.
CREATE VIDEO ANIMATIONS
Animate your 2D or 3D vehicle simulations within your CAD environment, using pre-defined or custom camera angles. Export the animation to .avi files to communicate your design intentions with external or non-technical peers.
PATH CONTROL
Designers can make adjustments to a vehicles path through simple grip-editing, allowing for fine-tuning of vehicle position.
PREVIEW VEHICLE PATHS
Use live previews of which turns each vehicle will be able to make next, in order to plan manoeuvres quickly and easily. Dynamic guides appear based on the minimum turning radius and the current speed of the vehicle.

VEHICLE ENVELOPE LOAD SHAPE
Simple or complex load shapes can be added to vehicles, to track load points and clearance of the load throughout manoeuvres.
INSPECT SIMULATION FEATURE
Check a simulation to ensure key parameters (steering angle, speed, proximity to objects and other vehicles) meet design criteria. This helps to prevent manually produced simulations that are unrealistic, such as when vehicles are turning at too low or too high of speeds, when there are drastic steering
SIMULATE CYCLE MOVEMENTS
Use a library of different cycle types (e.g. standard bicycles, bikes with trailers, cargo bikes, trikes, recumbent cycles and scooters or mopeds) to simulate their movements and ensure on-street and off-street design projects safely accommodate the turning space required.
DETAILED 2D AND 3D MODELS

DETACH TRAILER FROM TRACTOR
For multi-part vehicles, AutoTURN Pro lets users detach parts (i.e. trailers) from the front tractor - ideal for checking operational scenarios at different facilities (e.g. loading bays, manufacturing plants, warehouses, etc)
SUPPORT OF VEHICLES WITH LIFTABLE AXLES
AutoTURN Pro supports the creation of customized vehicles with liftable axles. During a simulation, the axles can be set to be raised or dropped, effectively changing the wheelbase and turning characteristics of the vehicle.
3D VEHICLE CONFLICT ANALYSIS
Carry out a conflict analysis to detect where geometric objects in a design drawing can interfere with the vehicle’s 3D swept path. The section of a 3D swept path will display in a different color indicating collisions with objects or terrain.
3D VEHICLE TRACKING POINTS
Clearances for oversized loads can be checked by setting 3D tracking points in a 3D vehicle simulation. This will show whether the tracking points conflict with either ground or overhead structures.
VEHICLE SIGHTLINE ANALYSIS
Easily perform horizontal or vertical vehicle sightline checks using alignments, arcs, and polylines with real-time feedback for different sightline lengths. Conduct 3D analysis and studies using 3D simulations to check for potential vehicle conflicts with the terrain.
CHECK OVERHEAD CLEARANCES
Generate a report displaying the terrain, vehicle, and clearance profile to check for spatial requirements between overhead obstacles and the design vehicle. Vertical clearance is not restricted to a straight line but can be analyzed at any point along the path of the simulation.
ANALYSE CROSS SECTIONS
Assess the cross-section of the 3D swept path at any instance or at a series of instances along a 3D simulation. A report or multiple reports can also be created and placed onto the drawing showing the 3D swept path cross-sectional, the terrain surface, and the cross section line.
PLACE VERTICAL SIMULATION
Check vehicle clearances for vertical grade conflicts between a vehicle's body and the terrain profile or even between a vehicle’s overhead roofline and overhanging obstacles.
GRADE TEMPLATES
Work with maximum ascend and descend grade limits for safe ground clearance based on a selected design vehicle.
SPEED PROFILE REPORTS
Produce vehicle speed profile reports which incorporate elements like acceleration, deceleration and lateral friction to evaluate a vehicle's speed based on the path geometry.

Users can model specific steering linkages and dependencies, such as rear steering as a factor front steering angle or based upon a vehicle's articulation angle.
