BASIC FEATURES

SEARCH VEHICLES
Browse through the extensive vehicle selection of AutoTURN, now consisting 1300+ guideline-based vehicles. Search for vehicle name, library name or vehicle type or apply filters to narrow down the list of vehicles.
PERFORM RELIABLE REVERSE MANOEUVRES
Creating reverse paths for heavy goods vehicles is a task commonly carried out for logistics or retail planning, but it can surely be challenging. AutoTURN allows multiple methods to lay out reverse simulations, offering one for a quick and easy solution or another with full control.
PATH CONTROL
Designers can make adjustments to a vehicles path through simple grip-editing, allowing for fine-tuning of vehicle position. Sections of the turning simulation can be added or adjusted for increased flexibility. These different editing functions can be used to adjust Arc, Corner and Oversteer path.
CREATE ANIMATION AND VIDEO
Control vehicle simulation playback through the new Run Animation feature. Plus, AutoTURN InVision data can now be managed with the ability to pick and choose the vehicle simulations in your drawing required for presentations.
PROPERTY STYLES
Custom design settings can be imported, exported and shared with all team members. Ensure consistent styles are being managed for all submissions.
SMARTPATH TOOLS
Innovative SmartPath tools allow the generation of continuous vehicle paths with three interactive drive modes (Arc Path, Corner Path, Oversteer Corner) that incorporate speed, superelevation, lateral friction, and turn radius algorithms for realistic results.
PLACE ADAPTIVE VEHICLE SIMULATIONS
Place adaptive simulations that either follow lines, arcs, polylines, alignments or complex chains; or are offset to the left/right, including realistic and smooth turning transitions. Simulations can update with the alignment to maintain accuracy.
PREVIEW VEHICLE PATHS
Use live previews of which turns each vehicle will be able to make next, in order to plan manoeuvres quickly and easily. Dynamic guides appear based on the minimum turning radius and the current speed of the vehicle.

ADVANCED FEATURES

PLACE VERTICAL SIMULATION
Check vehicle clearances for vertical grade conflicts between a vehicle's body and the terrain profile or even between a vehicle’s overhead roofline and overhanging obstacles.
SUPPORT OF LIFTABLE AXLES
AutoTURN now supports the creation of vehicles with liftable axles. During a simulation, the axles can be set to be raised or dropped, effectively changing the wheelbase and turning characteristics of the vehicle.
VEHICLE ENVELOPE LOAD SHAPE
Simple or complex load shapes can be added to vehicles, to track load points and clearance of the load throughout manoeuvres.
CONFLICT ANALYSIS AND REGENERATE SIMULATION
Perform vehicle conflict analysis and receive real-time visual feedback on any simulation path obstructions. AutoTURN also comes with the ability to regenerate an existing simulation to account for conflicts that occur after path obstacles have been added, removed, or modified.
GRADE TEMPLATES
Work with maximum ascend and descend grade limits for safe ground clearance based on a selected design vehicle.
SPEED PROFILE REPORTS
Produce vehicle speed profile reports which incorporate elements like acceleration, deceleration and lateral friction to evaluate a vehicle's speed based on the path geometry.
VEHICLE SIGHTLINE ANALYSIS

ABNORMAL LOADS TRANSPORT

AUTO- AND MANUAL STEERING
Generate complex simulations for specialised transport vehicles including auto- or manual-steered rear axles, commonly used for abnormal load haulage projects.
STEERING LINKAGES FOR SPECIALISED TRANSPORT
Users can model specific steering linkages and dependencies, such as rear steering as a factor front steering angle or based upon a vehicle's articulation angle.
SPECIALISED TRANSPORT VEHICLES
Specialised vehicles such as wind tower and blade trailers, body-articulated vehicles, timber transporters and lowboys are part of AutoTURN's vehicle libraries. These often serve as template vehicles which users can modify in order to accurately model the definite vehicle combination used for their abnormal load haulage or construction projects.
